A Little Bit Of This And A Little Bit Of That

This week has been full of fun moments and exciting happenings! Today is Anistyn’s 10th birthday, so we are all happy from Treasure Coast up to the FL/Ga Line! πŸ™‚

Here are a few snapshots of things that I remembered to bring my camera out for….:) I’m so very excited about this first little gallery! πŸ™‚

So, Joshua built us a table for our breezeway outside, so when the weather is enjoyable (and not 400 degrees set to broil….) we can eat outside under the lovely evening air. He acquired some old pallets to make shelves for the little shop next to our house (the area between our house and the shop is the “breezeway”. It’s a south FL term…), and had a lot left over after we broke the rest of it up. We brainstormed and I voiced that it would be nice to have a pallet table to eat at outside. So, we/he got to work right away. Soon enough, there was a lovely pallet table with matching benches! (HOW CUTE!)

The table was built weeks ago, but this week, we decided to sand and start staining it….stay tuned to see the finished products!! πŸ™‚

Alright, next is a natural occurrence that is SO cool, I had to get out and photograph it. Joshua called me right after he left for work and said there was the coolest blanket of fog laying over the river. He knew I wouldn’t want to miss taking pictures of such a thing, so I darted out the door and rushed down to the river! The spot I went to is very close to our house, right on US1. Sometime in the fall, this area on the beachy part of the river was cleared out. It used to be thick underbrush, Brazilian pepper trees, and palms. But since then, some life has started to grow back into it and the slope between the road and the water is covered with vines and plant life. I scaled the slope on a trail (How Indiana Jones of me…) and hit that sandy coast so I can capture some shots of the AWESOME water!

Up next is the sunset at Indian River State College, where Joshua was taking a math test. When we arrived, the sunset was just stunning. I couldn’t resist taking a picture or two…or six. πŸ™‚

And lastly, I have this nicely rounded mirror in my hallway and couldn’t resist playing around in it. πŸ™‚ What is it about mirrors? πŸ™‚
